First rehearsal!!

I won two Special Prizes, Prix du public and Prix "Jeune public", in the composition section of the Geneva international music competition held on December 1!

This is a kind of the audience prize. The audiences who listened to the premiere of this final concert, were divided into two sections Young audience up to 12-17 years old, and aged 18 and over,
and they vote the prize for the work that regarded as the best.

The sound source on the final concert and the details of the prize are written to the site of a broadcasting station called RTS which took charge also of the radio live broadcast of a premiere.

Although it was not the first prize, since support was obtained from many people, the audiences in a broad age group, I think that the meaning is large.

There were the applause which has heat from audience of Geneva, and they talked to me “Excellent!” at the end of the performance. I was really glad.
The following reports are written into the text of Prix de composition 2013 of RST.

“Le public a été conquis par la candidate japonaise Chikako Yamanaka (30 ans), lui attribuant non seulement le Prix du public, mais aussi le Prix Jeune public.”
(Translation: audience was conquered by Chikako Yamanaka (30), the Japanese candidate. They granted her not only a public price but also public Young Price. )

The Asahi Shimbun and the Kyodo News of Japanese media did interview to me, and they announced this competition promptly. Thank you very much!
Mr. Nojima and Ms. Uehara member of the Asahi Shimbun Publishing listened to the premiere also.
It was really grateful to me especially.

And, the Ensemble Contrechamps, a conductor Mr. Gregory, and a flutist Silvia Careddu,
they were really wonderful musicians!
I filled with deep emotion by their performance.

I will continue to purify myself so that I can continue to write the powerful work which can leave a certain reverberation to an audience's heart.
Thank you!

Thanks a lot for Warsaw!

It has gone to capital Warsaw from September 24 to the 30th, to attend the ceremony of 'the Composition Competition for Witold Lutosławski's 100th Birthday' held in Poland.
It was a hotel named Novotel that we ware took in. In a very wonderful room, the view of the center of a city from the 21st floor was spectacular.

Ceremony was the 28th, then what did I do on other days…?
It invited to the concert of the music festival of the "Autumn of Warsaw", and I was allowed to listen to a lot of interesting works closely. Moreoover, day lunch with the people of contest management committee and the Lutoslawski society,
I was allowed to spend time and enjoye the very enhancement of events and solid days.
(Though I was nervous to my English language skill every day! )

These photograph were took at concert hall “Warsaw Philharmonic Concert hall” that the ceremony and final concert held.(♪It is expanded when clicking. )
First one is in the entrance.
I wear a little fraught〜.(^ ▽^;)

This is a hall before concert. I shouted instinctively with pleasure when I entered.
It was a wonderful hall we can feel the love to music of people in Warsaw and can feel the tradition has been defended.
The sound was also very good.
Because it was just enough sound reverberation, and the orchestra can concentrate like one big mass, however I think it was a exquisite reverberation that can throb without congealing to pulse.

Afterwards, all winners lined up on the platform, greeting was stated by the producer and chairmen, and the diploma and the bouquet were given us one by one.

The last concert where the music festival was finished off started after this ceremony, and the 1st prize work of Mr. Tomas Simaku was premiered in the first place in the world.
How of orchestration with stability and music in which it listens and discord doesn't happen to flow.
I thought that it was a work of satisfaction.
Additionally, two masterpieces of Mr.Paweł Szymański and Mr. Thomas Ades were performed. Each work also gave me a lot of things of that can be felt learns and thinks that my ear might have been really glad.

After concert, big reception was held and it was very happy to me to talk with winners about music. And with good dishes and wines!
The last one! This photo took after I returns to the hotel. And diploma.
with bouquetdiploma

It was wonderful night. Thank you really.

People in Warsaw are really warm person. I felt they're something close on sense of Japanese people about taking of distance and relationship.

I was greatly touched by Poland's kindness because this time was the first passage to Europe for me.
Thank you very much for indebted Mr. Aleksandra, Mr. Tomasz, three winners , and a lot of people I met.

The experience of this time is my treasure.
Moreover, I keep doing my best one by one.
A thousand thanks Warsaw! I was so happy!

A song of the earth, the sea and human

5.Sep.2013

By Chicaco

The premiere of my chorus work “A song of the Earth, the Sea and Humans” finished with a success!

After receiving a East Japan great earthquake, I managed to complete this piece. And the lyrics was written by me.

There were various questions, internal conflicts and desires after the significance of existence and sensitivity as composer were shaken to limit due to that great earthquake.
It is in April, 2013 the lyrics was finished at last after overcoming the above concern one by one.

Although I am worried how words are caught to the last in fact and it has fallen into the stressful situations which have not been experienced before acting until now,
but it was the wonderful premiere which wiped away such all groundless apprehensions.
It was the vivid singing voice of Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus, and was the angelic singing voice of the Kimitsu junior chorus.
The quality of the performance was really wonderful and filled with deep emotion as a moment of becoming sound for the first time in the world.
And the audiences in the hall gave me big, big applause truly.
It was the most grateful!

I heard that the children read my words deeply and they practiced crying.
The child's susceptibility and power are wonderful!
And the really professional singing voice of people of the Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus.
It was so brilliant.

Gratitude from the bottom of heart is offered to Ms. Kaori Nakajima with Mr. Nobuaki Tanaka who gave such an opportunity.

I think this premiere is the start.

This photograph is me on the last curtain, verge on tears.
(^-^) Everyone's smiling face is glad.
I think that I will rise again if recording can be obtained!
